Space exploration and settlement on the surface of the Moon and Mars will only be feasible if sustainable energy and reliable power sources can be engineered. As a power generation device, the Space Micro-Reactor needs a novel energy conversion system that is lighter, more compact, and more durable. At the η (ETA) lab, we are designing an innovative energy conversion system with optimized heat/mass transfer and cooling technology to achieve a higher efficiency. We are developing advanced devices that utilize appropriate working fluid for reliable operating in space.
